How long until I'm up and running and accepting my first clients?

Implement your 90 Day Action Plan immediately. Establish your first Start Date/Time. Use the marketing tools (social media, emails, etc.) to start generating interest, get your phone to ring, and get inquiry emails in your in box. Soon, people will sign up to your first program. We will help show you how to develop your market. The program will move as fast as you do.

How many clients should I expect for my first class?

It takes time to build ANY business. However we have seen instructors sign well over twenty people within three weeks. If you have an existing student body it’s generally faster. Depending on the time and effort placed on marketing and the market your after (group training, personal or both) will determine the pace at which your business grows.

What professions are the C.O.B.R.A.™ programs a good fit for?

Your current or previous profession might include (but is not limited to):

What types of facilities are the C.O.B.R.A.™ programs a good fit for?

C.O.B.R.A.™ was designed to fit within your existing programs and act as a funnel for those programs. Facilities might include gyms, yoga facilities, martial arts schools, personal trainer facilities, or basically any type of defense or fitness business location.

Who CAN'T become a certified C.O.B.R.A.™ Training Facility?

You must be 18 years old or older and in good standing with the law and your community. No criminal arrest that have to do with: children, sexual battery, animal abuse, trafficking, homicide, capital crimes of any type or Felony drug charges. The C.O.B.R.A.™ organization will not allow anyone who does not meet the outlined criteria to become certified.

Do I need to have a facility?

The C.O.B.R.A.™ Defense & C.O.B.R.A.™ Fit programs can ebe conducted in already existing locations such as gyms, and recreation centers, etc. If you have an established facility that’s great, however, it isn’t a requirement. By tying in with existing businesses, you keep your starting costs and overhead low, and you help existing business owners expand services for existing clients. As your programs grow in size and popularity, you will most likely want to establish your own brick and mortar location. You can also use the program for strictly Personal Training which keeps the need for a studio a non-factor.

How much square footage do I need?

You can run a 10 week program, general fitness and self-defense classes in less than 500 square feet. You only need enough room to assemble your group, and in the case of C.O.B.R.A.™ Fit: enough room to place fitness kick bags (up to 3 people can share a kick bag) and enough space to perform the fitness evaluations.

Do I need to hire staff for the coaching?

Initially, you can do the coaching yourself. As you have more program launches, you may wish to expand your team of instructors. The process of developing and certifying more instructors is relatively simple.

Do I need to offer other programs?

You don't need to offer other programs, but for maximum income the C.O.B.R.A.™ Defense & C.O.B.R.A.™ Fit programs were designed to funnel people into your other longer term programs. You can set up an on-going Fitness Kickboxing service, personal training, introduce members to your preferred martial art style (as applicable). If you are a certified C.O.B.R.A. facility for both C.O.B.R.A.™ Defense & C.O.B.R.A.™ Fit, you can introduce members into the other C.O.B.R.A.™ products and services you offer.

How does this all work?

It’s simple. First, you sign up which gives you immediate access to your online C.O.B.R.A.™ certification training. You can study at your own pace. Some facility owners can do this within a day or two, while others like to take longer with the material.

Once you study the course, you take the program tests. When you pass them, your certificates, instructor shirts and other material will be mailed to you. You will have access to all the business marketing info and downloads.

You will be the only licensed facility in your area. We will work with you to establish your professional footprint in your community as quickly as possible. All continued consultations and marketing materials and efforts come with your license. You can also attend an optional full day, hands-on Live Training seminar to reinforce your certification and business model.

How long do I have online access?

Return often to the website to review the online training and marketing material whenever you wish. You will have 24/7 access for as long as you are licensed.

Are there additional ways to train?

Yes. Get certified via the online method above which gives you access to additional, optional Live Training events at the C.O.B.R.A.™ Headquarters. You can even have Chris come to your school to train you and your staff.
In additional, if you like using physical copies of much of the training material, there are options to purchase those packages of books, dvds and other training material once you become a member.

Can I have Chris Sutton train me & my staff at my school?

Absolutely. Some school owners who want live training in addition to their online training find it's more efficient to have Chris train them and their staff at their school instead of them going to C.O.B.R.A.™ headquarters. Details and  cost for on site Executive coaching.

While he is there, some facilities also have Chris teach a 1 Day C.O.B.R.A.™ Defense Survival Camp for their students that is profitable for the school owner and educational for students and staff both.

Is there support?

Absolutely. You will not call into a cubical and speak with an outsourced operator. You can easily access the certified C.O.B.R.A.™ instructors at the headquarters by phone, email and social media. We pride ourselves on our response times and that every certified instructor will get the attention they need. You will consult with instructors who actually teach the C.O.B.R.A.™ programs on a daily basis.

How does the payment work?

1. Purchase the program you want. This first monthly payment covers your training, certification, & marketing tools.
2. Pay monthly licensing fee for a minimum of 12 months.
3. After these 12 months, pay licensing fee month-to-month to maintain certification and active status.

What does the C.O.B.R.A.™ license include?

The monthly C.O.B.R.A.™ licensing allows you to use the C.O.B.R.A.™ name and continued access and use of all the online and downloadable C.O.B.R.A.™ material in your exclusive area as well as support and consulting from C.O.B.R.A.™-creator Chris Sutton.

Instructors agree to pay the monthly licensing fee for 12 months. After the initial 12 months, the license agreement is month-to-month. Read the full license agreement here.

How long am I committed to the license?

Your initial monthly investment is only 12 months. Statistically, that’s a VERY short time to begin to turn a profit in ANY business, but we’re certain that we can help you be profitable quickly. After the initial 12 month investment, you are welcome to continue with C.O.B.R.A.™ on a month-to-month basis. The monthly plan is low considering all that you get with the business model and the income C.O.B.R.A.™ generates.

What if I decide I don't want to continue?

Since you are jumping into a turn-key business there will be merchandise and lots of effort from our headquarters dedicated to you. There is no money back guarantee since this is a complete business model, however after your initial 12 months you can choose to discontinue the C.O.B.R.A.™ program if it is not performing for you. You will have to discontinue all use of the program at that point.
